PHASE 1 (1982-2001)
On May 1, 1982, TLM was officially registered in the trade register under the name Teo Lamers Motorrijwielen B.V.. From the very beginning, everything revolved around the Italian brand Moto Guzzi; a lot of tinkering took place together with customers, parts and engines were shipped directly in Italy. and TLM was also active in (endurance) racing.

In the 20 years that followed, the Moto Guzzi specialty expanded and the contacts with the factory became increasingly closer. Importing engines and parts became a daily occurrence and the stock of engines and parts grew accordingly. This resulted in a move in 1989 to Nijverheidsweg 26 in Nijmegen. A characteristic building, spread over two floors, with plenty of room to grow.
In 1996, the first version of the website was launched and the shipping service for parts was set up.
Around the turn of the century, Teo thought it was time to emigrate to Australia; and found succession within the family.
PHASE 2 (2002-Present)
In 2002, Martijn and Michiel took over the company (brothers and cousins of Teo) and expanded it even further; TLM became an official Moto Guzzi dealer for the first time and with a renewed, multilingual website and webshop, its wings were also increasingly spread outside the Netherlands. The used parts department was tackled and professionalized. However, the jacket on the Nijverheidweg became smaller and started to pinch. All available rooms and outbuildings were overflowing.
At the end of 2016, the current building on the Lagelandseweg was found and all business activities could finally be combined under one roof again. After an intensive renovation and relocation, the opening followed in April 2017. The current location at Lagelandseweg 66 in Nijmegen is clearer, offers more space and options for presenting motorcycles and has improved by leaps and bounds in terms of accessibility.
In 2020, the Triumph dealership was added to the company — a brand with an equally impressive heritage and reputation, fitting seamlessly with the character of TLM. In 2025, the range was further expanded with the addition of CFMOTO, enabling TLM to appeal to a broader audience and respond to the evolving motorcycle market.
From 2026 onwards, TLM deliberately chooses a new direction. The obligation to also take on the Aprilia dealership — a brand TLM has represented in the past — ultimately led to this decision. In order to remain true to its own identity and philosophy, TLM will continue as an independent Moto Guzzi specialist.
With decades of experience, in-depth technical knowledge and an enduring passion for the iconic Italian marque, TLM remains fully dedicated to riders who see Moto Guzzi not just as a motorcycle, but as a way of life.
